I earned my master’s degree in Anthropology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. During my two years there I became interested in visual culture and the use of film to exhibit and disseminate my research.
I merged my interests in Southeast Asia and film by using observational filming techniques to collect my data. My ethnographic research took place in 2013, and resulted in a film, “Children of God.” (25:18)
The project focused on Christianity in Southeast Asia and the concept of “prosperity gospel.”
